British Cycling Sanctioning and Ranking Points
You do not have to have a BC licence to race. However, a BC licence is a good idea as getting one supports the gorverning body of our sport. Licences also have many other benifits like personal accident insurance, 3rd party insurance etc. etc. go to www.britishcycling.org.uk for more information.

We issue race number boards at registration. Each racer gets one free (well, included in his/her first entry fee) per year. Please bring these with you to each race. Replacements can be provided at a cost of £5 (unless yours has become damged in which we will exchange it free of charge). The main reason for this fee is that providing replacement boards cost time and causes delays and slows things down for everybody. Do not modify or deface your number board or we will insist you buy a replacement. You will not be permitted to race with a modified or defaced number board.
We use RadioFrequencyIDentification chips (RFID) to assist with rider identification (funnily enough) at Dragon DH races. These are issued at registration, we charge a £5 deposit for the chips, this deposit is refundable at the end of the day, the end of the weekend or the end of the season, or like most Dragon DH riders, you can just keep it. Broken chips will be replaced free of charge, but please try to look after them, they do cost money.
Entry forms are available HERE. Please enter in plenty of time so we know how many people are coming to each event and it helps us get stuff right before the actual event (see below).
Full entry lists are posted on the website weekly (unless stated on the frontpage) or daily (in the week leading up to events) HERE. Once you have entered wait a day or so, longer if you've posted your entry then check the 'entries' page. It should be sorted alphabetically, in each category, if you can't see yourself down DON'T PANIC. Wait another day, if you still can't see yourself on the list email me. There can be several reasons, mistakes are usually the cause (yours or mine, who cares, it's better to resolve these issues before race day), The same goes for spelling, sponsor, category or any other kind of mistake. Enter in plenty of time and we can usually resolve any issues in plenty of time for the races.

F.C. and British Cycling have recently tightened up the rules for DH uplift transport. This is not unexpected and is for the good of the sport and for safety. We now use buses and bike trailers - these are not coming cheap. Therefore I have had to increase the fee for practice days to £22 per day to pay for more transport per person. I think £22 for a day of uplift is not unreasonable, provided you are not stuck queing all day. I will try to stick to the following rules. One truck per 30 people. £22 entry fee, entries close 7 days prior to the event. NO entries on the day and NO late entries. This will remain subject to transport charges to me, you might have noticed the price of diesel going up , up and up, this gets passed directly on to me. Price changes will be noticed accordingly in the future.
Personally I would use practice days as a special treat, use them for training, use them for getting full runs. If you don't know a track you would be better off going there any old day and 'sectioning' the track to get a good feel for it. Note: If you are there outside of an event, there is no-one there to pick you up should you fall so use the 'buddy system' (always ride with a friend). Once you know a track then come to a practice day and ride yourself silly.
Practice Event Format
Sign on from 09:30 to 11:00
Transport starts 10:00, ends 16:00 (four O'Clock), last truck usually leaves the transport pickup around 15:45 (depending on the venue and the available daylight)
