Bunk Houses at the National Climbing Centre 01443 710749 - Bad report from a rider who stayed here mind 'The climbing centre bunkhouse was shocking but probably good if you fancy a mission impossible themed weekend where you have to break in to get to your rooms!'
A camp/caravan site that is highly recommended is Pen-y-Fan near Blackwood, it's 5 mins from Abercarn ,10 to Cwmcarn, 20 to Mountain Ash or Gethin, 45 to Rheola. There are washing and drying facilities readily available, electric hookup, a pub and a restaurant, the pub grub is good and the restaurant is really god for the money, the webby is http://www.penyfancaravanpark.co.uk/ and all details that anyone will need are on there.

Firstly you have to make your way to Cardiff central station from here catch a train to Penrhiwceiber station on the Cardiff to Aberdare line.
Once you arrive at the station at Penrhiwceiber go over the footbridge across the railway line & follow the footpath the other side. Then cross the next foot bridge over the river, turn right & follow the tarmac footpath for about 15 meters. Then turn left up a small un-surfaced path that will lead you on to the A4059 road, turn right & follow the road for about 100 meters till you find the venue on your left.
